Sound and Music Services

A professional musician and tutor of over 18 years, I have a great wealth of experience and ability when it comes to music. Back in 2000 my main music project that I wrote/produced all the music for 'nearly' broke through in the alternative rock scene and was twice voted 'Best Unsigned Band' in Metal Hammer magazine's annual readers poll two years running, and did very well in other national rock mags such as Kerrang and Rocksound.

Even though the 'big break' didn't materialise, I really enjoyed the many creative years of producing my own albums, touring, promoting and performing that went along with it. I still enjoy performing and music making today (though on a much less hectic scale!) and I'm currently playing bass for a band signed to a German independent record label.

The skills I picked up and developed during that time to help promote all the music I was making were the ones that lead me even more into graphic and web design. So much so that this avenue came to be my main source of income and passion and I've worked with several companies as a freelance designer for the past few years on a very large variety of commercial projects.

As a pro guitar and bass tutor since leaving college I also have a huge wealth of experience teaching music of many genres and worked in many schools (private and state) and colleges in the Northwest. At the moment though I am taking a well earned break from teaching to focus on design work and learning new skills.

On top of all this, I've also worked as pro DJ in mainly underground alternative clubs, but have also been known to do the odd wedding/birthday and suchlike!

What this means is that I can offer you a truly excellent wealth of diverse expertise for any sound/music projects you may require. From creating some background music, to jingles for advertising campaigns, staging and coordinating a fashion show to full blown scores for films or computer games.

I have a small but highly effective studio which suits most needs, and also has great contacts for anything grander in terms of recording, augmented by a number of trusted musician friends and acquaintances on whom to call on for sessions and additional elements.

Also, for any live performances/club events/sound engineering/lighting/video work etc I have a huge range of practical experience in many name venue's up and down the country and in London.

Qualifications include: Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 8 Classical Guitar and Grade 8 Music Theory, and I am currently preparing myself for the Grade 8 Electric Guitar exam.

I'm able to offer video services at a fraction of the cost that most video companies can offer as I work simply with a powerful camcorder and laptop which means the overheads are small, yet the production standards are still very high - and these savings can be passed onto you

From Video editing, titles and special effects, to DVD creation and authoring - 9th Dimension have great studio facilities to create full featured videos and deploy them on a number of industry standard platforms.

I can direct, shoot and produce your video and also call in trusted extra specialist crew for larger productions

If a studio is needed I have access to that to.

Add to that great sound production, and combine those with a whole cast of professional online voice-over and narration actors, means you can have a very effective professional video to use at a very cost effective price.
